Rockfall and debris on highways
Lillooet-Lytton RCMP receive many calls for rocks on the roadways near Lillooet and Lytton.

2024-155
On January 27, 2024 Lillooet RCMP received a report of a man sitting with an open beer can by the train station at station hill, it appeared as if he had thrown up. Lillooet RCMP members attended and observed vomit on the ground and an open beer can next to the man. He declined any medical services. He was transported to a family members house at his request, where his family member was spoken to and happy to look after him.

On January 27, 2024 a caller reported seeing a large flash on the Trans Canada Hwy near Lytton, after which the power went out. The caller believed a vehicle may had struck a power pole. A Lytton RCMP member located a tree lying on the power lines in the described area. No vehicles were seen. BC hydro was advised. There was no further police involvement.
Theft from vehicle

On January 31, 2024 a man reported his vehicle had been broken into while parked by a Forest Service Road near Duffey Lake, he had been hiking and camped overnight away from the vehicle. A wallet and various other items were taken. The matter is still under investigation.
Assault
2024-177
On January 31, 2024 a man reported he had broken up a fight between another man and woman in Lillooet. Lillooet RCMP members attended and learned the man and woman were dating. The man involved in the fight was located, observed to be intoxicated, and subsequently arrested for assault for pushing the female on the ground. The woman involved was also located, intoxicated, and subsequently arrested for being intoxicated in public. Both parties were lodged at the detachment cells overnight. The man was released on a court date for assault. Charges are being recommended to the BC Prosecution Service.

On February 1, 2024 at 11:00 pm a Lillooet RCMP member conducted a foot patrol by the Lillooet Rec Centre and observed a group of men standing around the back side, the group walked away from police. One man engaged in conversation and said they had just been smoking and were headed home. A makeshift spear was abandoned in the area and seized by police. The man denied it belonged to the group. There were no further concerns.
Mischief

On February 3, 2024 a man reported someone threw a rock at his vehicle driver side window, shattering it. His vehicle was parked near 8th Ave. Patrols were made in the area but were unfruitful. The man later called back and advised two people in dark clothing came back and attempted to take equipment from the vehicle but fled. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Lillooet RCMP, please reference Lillooet RCMP file 2024-193.
Suspicious vehicle

On February 5, 2024 a caller reported a suspicious dark coloured truck was parked at a specified address in Lytton. Later an update was received the truck had since left the address. There was no license plate number obtained nor any criminal activity was mentioned. There was no further police action or concerns.
Theft from vehicle

On February 8, 2024 a caller reported that a black Sports-Rack Vista Hitch attached to the hitch of her RV was stolen from the driveway of her residence in Lillooet overnight. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Lillooet RCMP, please reference Lillooet RCMP file 2024-212.
Assault with a weapon
2024-223
On February 9, 2024 Lillooet RCMP received a report that someone was stabbed in the Seton Portage community. BC Ambulance Service (BCAS) attended alongside Lillooet RCMP members and gave medical attention as needed. The file is still open and under investigation.
