Police asking for public’s assistance in identifying assault suspect

The Sea to Sky Squamish RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in an assault investigation.
On February 7, 2024 at about 1:30 p.m., the Squamish RCMP was contacted by a male victim who had been assaulted in the area of Bailey Street and Summits View Drive. The victim reported that he was walking his dog when the male suspect, who was also walking his dog, approached the victim, assaulted him, and then departed toward Bailey Street. The victim sustained numerous injuries in the assault.
We are releasing a forensic sketch of the suspect in an attempt to identify this individual,

The suspect is described as:
- Caucasian or South Asian male
- Approximately 6 ft (182 cm) tall
- Weighing between 220 – 230 lbs (90 – 104 kgs)
- Muscular build
- Black hair
- Partial facial hair
The suspect was described to be wearing:
- Black toque
- Black Arc’teryx shell jacket
- Black pants
- Dark hiking-style running shoes
The suspect was walking a leashed, black German Shepherd dog.
