A suspect has now been charged in relation to the homicide of Tory Dunn.

Background:

On June 16, 2024, the Surrey RCMP responded to a call at a residence near the 9800-block of 182A Street, Surrey. Upon arrival, members located a woman, later identified as 30-year-old Tory Dunn, with life-threatening injuries. Despite attempts at life-saving measures, Ms. Dunn succumbed to her injuries. A male identified as 40-year old Adam Troy Mann of Ontario, was subsequently taken into police custody.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) took conduct of the investigation and continued to work closely in partnership with the Surrey RCMP, the BC Coroners Service and the Integrated Forensic Identification Section (IFIS) to advance the investigation.

On June 28, 2024, the BC Prosecution Service approved one count of second-degree murder against Adam Troy Mann, who remained in custody, in relation to the homicide of Tory Dunn.

The investigation does not end here. IHIT will continue to work with the Surrey RCMP to collect evidence and find answers, says Sergeant Timothy Pierotti of IHIT. This tragic event has shaken the entire community. Those in need of support are recommended to contact the Surrey RCMP’s Victim Services.

IHIT is asking anyone with dash-camera or surveillance video in the area around the 9800-block of 182A Street, Surrey, on June 16, 2024 between 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., to contact the IHIT Information Line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or by email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
