Police investigate suspicious death

On Tuesday, January 14, 2025 Vanderhoof RCMP were called to a residence in the 100 Block of 5th Street in the community for a check well-being call. When police arrived, they located a deceased 65-year-old man with injuries inside a residence.

BC RCMP North District Major Crime Unit (NDMCU) has assumed conduct of the investigation and is currently on scene.

The investigation is in its infancy and police are treating the death as suspicious. Police are asking anyone in the area with CCTV footage between January 10, 2025 and January 14th, 2025 to contact police.
