RCMP investigating weekend shooting

On June 20, 2021 at 8:30 a.m., the Prince George RCMP received a report of shots fired near a residence on the 3800 block of Westwood Drive. Frontline members immediately attended the area and began looking for anyone who may have been involved.

Police arrested four people in relation to this event. Investigators released three of the people involved pending further investigation and held one of the people in-custody on unrelated matters. Police are familiar with all involved and are currently investigating this incident as a targeted shooting. There were no injuries reported in this incident, states Cst. Jennifer Cooper of the Prince George RCMP.

Investigators are asking that anyone in the area with dash cam or surveillance footage from the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. that police have not already spoken with please contact Prince George RCMP by calling 250-561-3300.

There is currently no threat to public safety. This file remains under investigation.
