Police investigating a stranger sexual assault

Prince George RCMP is seeking public assistance in locating a suspect after a woman was sexually assaulted on the weekend.

Just after noon on Sunday, March 27, 2022, Prince George RCMP received a report of a sexual assault that occurred at a housing complex on the 2600 block of Recplace Drive earlier that morning.

The victim was holding an Open House at the location and was showing the unit to the male suspect. The woman reports the man came up behind her and touched her back before groping her. When the woman yelled out the man left the area on foot.

The suspect is described as:

The victim did not receive any physical injuries in the incident.

Police are conducting an extensive video canvass in the area. There have been no further reports of any similar incidents.

The sexual assault happened in the middle of the day in a busy area of town. We want the public to be aware this happened and to remain vigilante when dealing with strangers on a one-on-one basis. Additionally, we are looking to speak with anyone who has video surveillance or dash cam footage capturing the suspect leaving the location around 11:15 a.m., states Cpl.
