Police look for information in collision investigation

On Monday, August 21, 2023 at 4:23 pm, Fraser Lake RCMP received a report of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 16 and Tunasa Cres.

On scene police find a Honda Civic that had been rear ended by a vehicle that left the scene after the crash occurred.

The driver, an adult woman, had slowed in order to make a left turn from the highway. She described the other vehicle as a newer black GMC Denali pickup.

The suspect driver has been described as

The driver stopped to see if she was ok, went back to his truck, allegedly said he would be back then drove off and did not return. The woman suffered minor injuries and sought medical attention.

Police would like to speak to anyone that may have witnessed the crash or was in the area around the time of the collision and may have dash cam video.
